Thara Park Hiking – Walking – Running Krabi Town

Thara Park, Krabi. A paved path encircles the park and there is some equipment for kids to play on in the playground section.

There is a sports park on the Krabi river called Thara Park that is pretty ideal for walking, hiking, or jogging around the 1.15 km loop. It’s good to find a place without dogs – and though there are sometimes dogs here, they never bark at people or give chase unless after dark or early in the morning. Between the hours of 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. you will be fine.

There is a paved path around the circumference of the park, and there is enough grass that you can run on if you are tired of slapping the pavement with your feet. One lap around is 1.15 kilometers. A lap from the big parking lot and counterclockwise, past the tennis courts and football (soccer) field, up to the gate and the parallel bars on the left, and around back to the parking lot.
